Hello Momma’s
I wanted to write about this and have wanted to for a long time. Let me tell you I was so ashamed of how I handled my son’s sleeping. He never had a schedule, I nursed and rocked him to sleep and I had created to many crutches my little man that I became the only person that could put him to sleep. On top of that even though we were approaching his first birthday I was still getting up 1 to 2 times a night with him. After a grueling pregnancy and almost a year of this babe not sleeping. It had been almost two years since I had slept through the night myself.
I had friends who had babies sleep through the night at like 3 months. Yeah, that wasn’t my kid. My kid ate like a champ and had a sweet disposition but he was NOT a good sleeper. Desperate I reached out to my mom who gave me a number of a lady she met while out and about. This lady saved my life, my marriage and allowed my relationship to grow with my son in a way I never knew it could.
I hired a sleep consultant because I didn’t know how to put him to sleep and get him to stay asleep without him crying endlessly.
I hired a sleep consultant because my child needed the rest for his cognitive growth and was capable of sleeping through the night without me.
I hired a sleep consultant because I wanted to get a full nights rest and take charge over his schedule and be prepared for the changes ahead.
I hired a sleep consultant because I don’t have shame about asking for help when I need it.
I hired a sleep consultant because I wanted to be able to travel and know that regardless of where he was sleeping he had the tools to put himself to sleep.
I hired a sleep consultant because I wanted to be able to know when he really wasn’t OKAY at night. When he really needed me vs. just wanting me to put him to sleep.
I hired a sleep consultant because I wanted to go on dates with my husband and not have anxiety about how someone was going to do putting him to sleep.
I hired a sleep consultant because I needed my life back.
So, as you can see there are a lot reasons why for our family it was the best investment we ever made. If your child is 6 months old or older and is still not sleeping for the night other than medical reasons. I would strongly suggest getting a sleep consultant to help you. To educate you on the mechanics of sleep. This was the best investment for our whole family. I know how the tools I need to train my future children and most importantly I have the confidence to move forward in this area.
I hope this helps as always.
Love,
Larissa
