As a busy mom it’s important that all aspects of things I use everyday are functional and beautiful. Today I wanted to share with you with whats in my gym bag/diaper bag. I have a regular diaper bag but this one I grab in the mornings when we are headed to the gym. The bag itself has bottle pockets, straps for the stroller, a water repellant liner and a changing pad and of course lots of pockets! So for Daxton he has a change of clothes, a few diapers, diaper cream, a few toys, a food pouch and some Gerber Puffs. For me I always carry hand sanitizer in a spray, my sunglasses because it’s so bright in Tucson, my head phones, a sweat rag, a wash cloth, my dry shampoo, a brush, rose facial water, my water bottle and of course a little bit of perfume. This bag is large enough to hold a change a clothes, my tennis shoes and just about anything else I can think of that I would need. Its shape is more like a duffle which is what I used to have before Dax; this bag pulls double duty like it’s going out of style! This helps me transition seamlessly from the gym to running errands, because we all know especially with young children they have a limit of how much time they can be out before a total meltdown is inevitable.
Here are some gym hacks that have helped me save time and still feeling fresh enough to be among the people!
If your roots and face are sweaty get your washcloth and wet it blot your face, neck, chest and hair line. Spray your face with Rose water and your roots with dry shampoo. Wait for water to dry and shampoo to dry then dry your head under the dryer while brushing your hair.
If you’re still not feeling fresh, bring an extra pair of socks with you and swap your socks, for some reason it seems to help. Or bring an entirely different’ pair of shoes all together!
Always remember to wash your hands when you’re done working out particularly if you’re at public gym, they are very, very dirty!!
